Compass is a coaching service for adults — parents, teachers, and psychologists — who support children with ADHD. We take your privacy, and your child’s, seriously. This page explains in plain language what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address and the role you select (parent, teacher, or psychologist). Nothing else.
- The coach (once launched): the messages you exchange with the coach, the child’s first name or nickname if you choose to share it, and the “wins” you log to grow the Strength Tree.
What we use it for
- To send you your invitation, launch updates, and occasional news about Compass books, products, and resources we think will help (waitlist email). You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To give you relevant coaching — the coach uses your conversation to suggest strategies and track strengths.
- To improve the service in aggregate. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your conversations for advertising.
About children’s information
Compass is used by adults, not by children. We ask that you refer to your child by first name or nickname only and avoid sharing identifying details such as full name, school name, date of birth, or photos. The Strength Tree stores what you choose to share: a name or nickname, the strengths you log, and short descriptions of wins.
Where your data lives
Conversations and profiles are processed and stored by our conversation platform provider, and AI responses are generated by third-party AI providers under their data processing terms. Waitlist submissions are stored by our website host (Netlify).
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.
- You can ask us to delete your conversation history, your child’s profile, or your waitlist entry — write to us and we’ll confirm when it’s done.
What Compass is not
Compass offers coaching strategies and strengths-based encouragement. It is not medical care, therapy, or a diagnostic tool, and it does not replace your pediatrician, psychologist, or school team. If your child is in crisis, contact local emergency services or a licensed professional.
