Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Compass, provided by Compass (“Compass,” “we,” “us,” “our”), including the website compasscoachapp.com and the application at app.compasscoachapp.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Compass is, and is not
Compass is a strengths-based coaching and educational support tool for adults, parents, teachers, and psychologists who support children with attention and focus challenges. It offers guidance, strategies, and encouragement through an AI coach and related features.
Compass is not a medical, psychological, diagnostic, or therapeutic service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or reduce ADHD or any other condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or educational advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any question about a child’s health, development, or behavior. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something provided through Compass. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
2. Who can use Compass
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Compass is designed to be used by adults on behalf of the children they care for. Children do not create accounts, subscribe, or use the Service directly. By using the Service, you confirm that you are an adult and that you have the authority to provide any information you enter about a child.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it current.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases made through Compass. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, receipts, applicable taxes, and payment support.
- Plans and prices are shown at checkout. Current plans include individual monthly and annual subscriptions.
- Free trial: paid plans may begin with a 7-day free trial that requires a payment method. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged. You may cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by using it for any unlawful purpose, attempting to access other users’ data, reverse engineering or scraping the Service, disrupting its operation, or presenting Compass to third parties as a licensed medical or clinical provider.
6. Your information and privacy
Information you enter, including anything you provide about a child, is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You keep ownership of the information you provide and grant us the limited right to process it in order to operate and improve the Service.
7. Our content
Compass, including its coaching method, the Strength Tree, curriculum, text, and design, is owned by Compass and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute it.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular outcome for a child, and coaching results vary from family to family. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compass will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by canceling your subscription. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Panama, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
